Fort Worth Pug Uglies (70.9) at Toros (62.9)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Nov 2, 2009) In a week 8 Doak Walker intra-divisional classic, Fort Worth Pug Uglies beat a strong Toros team by a score of 70.9 to 62.9, silencing a partisan crowd of 73,266.

Fort Worth Pug Uglies were led to their 8.0 point victory by a 22.0 point effort from Pierre Thomas, who got by the Atlanta Falcons defense for 91 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 9 receiving yards. With this performance, Thomas was the number 6 ranked running back for week 8. They also got help from a 13.5 point effort from Jay Cutler, who got by the Cleveland Browns defense for 225 passing yards in addition to 32 rushing yards.

"We're happy we could pull this one out at the end," Fort Worth Pug Uglies coach Larry Collins said.

Toros were helped out in a losing cause by a 20.7 point effort from Drew Brees, who beat the Atlanta Falcons defense for 308 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 3 rushing yards. With this performance, Brees was the number 6 ranked quarterback for week 8. They also got help from a 11.0 point effort from Kris Brown, who snuck past the Buffalo Bills defense for 3 field goals made and 2 extra points.

"We didn't maintain the intensity for the entire 60 minutes," Toros coach Christopher Thomas said.

Causing further embarrassment, Toros could have scored 75.9 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Christopher Thomas left key players like Jeremy Maclin and his corresponding 10.7 points on the bench.

Fort Worth Pug Uglies took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 8 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 8.

This brings the record for Fort Worth Pug Uglies to 6-2, and drops Toros to a record of 3-5.

Coming up in week 9, Toros are at the 5-3 The Owl Restaurant, where The Owl Restaurant are an early 4.6-point favorite, while the 4-4 Major Damage are at Fort Worth Pug Uglies, where Fort Worth Pug Uglies are an early 18.0-point underdog.
