With their 113.4 points, WiseGuys is now the proud record-holder of the 26th-highest weekly point total in league history.
WiseGuys were led to their 1.0 point victory by a 28.2 point effort from Jonathan Stewart, who tore apart the New York Giants defense for 206 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 16 receiving yards. With this performance, Stewart was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 21.7 point effort from Ryan Grant, who got by the Seattle Seahawks defense for 97 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs.
"This MVP award belongs to the whole team," WiseGuys coach Ed Weigand said.
Sicilian Death Match were helped out in a losing cause by a 23.9 point effort from Chris Johnson, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 142 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 37 receiving yards. With this performance, Johnson was the number 4 ranked running back for week 16. They also got help from a 22.5 point effort from Randy Moss, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 45 receiving yards and 3 receiving TDs.
"These guys have nothing to be ashamed of," Sicilian Death Match coach Art Walker said.
Compounding the issue, Sicilian Death Match could have scored 115.4 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Art Walker left key players like Laveranues Coles and his corresponding 10.3 points on the bench.
Sicilian Death Match drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 12 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 16.
This brings the record for WiseGuys to 10-2-1, and drops Sicilian Death Match to a record of 10-3.

Sicilian Death Match were led in week 15 by a 38.4 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who tore apart the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 383 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 22 rushing yards. Based on projections from FantasySharks.com, Sicilian Death Match can expect a 34.5 point effort from Aaron Rodgers in week 16, who is expected to tear apart the Seattle Seahawks defense for 400 passing yards and 4 passing TDs in addition to 25 rushing yards.
"We have to dig deep," Sicilian Death Match coach Art Walker said.
In week 4, Sicilian Death Match defeated WiseGuys by 25.8 points, so coach Ed Weigand is looking for revenge this week.
